Rock and Rock Valentine’s Day Wedding

When the creators of Cause a Scene Knoxville announced they were putting together an amazing pop up styled shoot for photographers in the area and that it was going to be at Marblegate Farm… I bought my ticket right away! Then they posted their mood boards for the style that they were going for and I was so dang excited. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner… this was the perfect idea for content that would go along with the season. So smart!

I’m all about a dark, unique, edgy vibe. And this whole set up fit the bill. As soon as I walked in the doors and saw this kick-a cake by Krista’s Cakes I knew the vendors had brought their A-game. Our models, Cloe & Cole, were perfect as well and killed it… even in the full, blinding sun!

Chloe had her gorgeous bridal up-do done by Knoxville Hair by Katie and it literally was to die for. It was so elegant and showcased her shoulders and face shape perfectly. Her red tool skirt was so different and fun and perfect for movement in these images! Cole’s Harry Styles vibe honestly had me swooning every time her looked at his lady and gave her those loving eyes. So dang beautiful together!

I HAVE to talk just a little bit about the florals for this shoot before I wrap up. Vintage Floral Designs seriously out did herself. The arch, made by Marsh Made Design, was graced by the beautiful black, dark green, red, and ivory florals. But what really made me fall in love was the bouquet! Holy Moly! How stunning and unique is this design! (be sure you scroll down and see it!!) I always, always say go big or go home… and Beth rocked these florals. The detail, the flowers she chose, and the colors all were a dream.

I am beyond thankful each and every vendor that participated in this shoot agreed to be a part of it. Their talents and skills are so appreciated and I am so glad I am able to showcase their work. Thank you all for everything you did for this shoot!

Casey & Matt {engagement}

This past fall I was asked to do engagement photos for two people I’ve known for quite a while now. Words cannot express how stoked I was (and still am) about this session. These two are so insanely precious together! Love like theirs really shows through in the images. You can just feel it as you look at their gallery. They were absolutely made for one another! I hope you all love this perfect fall engagement as much as I do! And congrats again Casey and Matt!

Connor {3 year photos}

Early in the 2016 football season I was able to photograph little Connor, and his parents, when he was turning the big 3!! His dad is a HUGE TN Volunteer fan so we thought we would swing by the stadium for a few shots just out front and then we would head down to a garden area for more scenic photos. Little did we know there was a tour going on at the same time we were at the stadium. We asked the guy at the gate if we could just walk in for a minute or two for a photo even though we weren’t a part of this group of people and we got the okay! So surprisingly we were able to shoot Connor’s birthday photos AND his first time inside of Neyland Stadium at the same time! Such a wonderful memory! He had such a blast running back and forth on the field and playing catch with his dad (who was just in heaven!). Needless to say we didn’t really make it to any other locations for more photos but I think the stadium turned out to be a perfect option for this family!

Bring on 2017!

Happy New Year!! I felt it only fitting to start getting caught up on sharing TONS of images from 2016 on the very first day of the new year (even though it’s almost midnight and technically the second day!). The past 3-4 months have been such a crazy, whirlwind of business for me in every aspect of my life. But especially with my photography! I am so thankful and blessed to have each and every one of my clients, new and old, that have trusted me to photograph their most precious memories!

So I’m not usually one to make any “new year’s resolutions”….buuuut this year I decided to make a small one. Last year I started yoga classes with Eye.She.We (eyeshewe.wordpress.com) and fell in love. I’m not really one to usually be a fan of any type of exercising…but yoga turned into such a peaceful part of my week to take a little time out for myself. It also turned out that I enjoy the exercise part of it! It is such a great way to get fit without having to be out of breath and feel like I’m passing out while doing it! lol! With all of that being said my resolution is to start being more consistent with my classes and try to make it at least once a week!

My dear friend Meg is the amazing teacher at Eye.She.We. When she asked me to do a second yoga photo shoot for her new brand and small business I was ecstatic! She is so unbelievably flexible and talented! I am so lucky to have been able to capture each different, unique yoga pose for her to be able to use for her business. If you are interested in classes be sure to contact her (or myself) and we can let you know when and where they are. And you should definitely go check out her website!! I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!blog-1blog2blog3blog4blog5

Jwala & Family {Sunflower Session}

You may recognize two of these faces from a recent blog post I did with two gorgeous Indian gowns. But of course we had to add Dad in there and get some fun family photos! Once they saw the sunflower fields they knew right away where they wanted their next session to take place. (and can you blame them??) We had a blast this summer morning enjoying the gorgeous fields and each others company! I’m sad this sweet family has now moved to Texas and I won’t be able photograph their big smiles anymore! I wish them the best of luck out there and hope they find an amazing photographer to capture all their future special moments.

Storms Family {Sunflower Session}

In the next few blog posts you’re going to see a ton of sunflowers. For this…I’m really not that sorry! lol! I LOVE sunflowers. They are by far my favorite flower. Summer of 2015 was my first time venturing down to the fields but I was only able to do a couple small sessions there. This year I was hoping and praying I would be able to make my way there with numerous families for some gorgeous summer photos. My prayers were definitely answered!! I cannot wait to share all the fun I had with my amazing families and the fabulous sunflowers.

First up we have Joe and Jill Storms with their 5 BEAUTIFUL children! Seriously every single one is so stinking gorgeous. I could have sat and photographed each of them all day. Although something told me they weren’t too fond of that idea! lol! It was suuuuper hot and suuuuper busy when we got down to the spot I had in mind. But these guys were such great troopers and handled the heat and whole shoot perfectly. I hope you all enjoy these as much as I do!

Ashley Neal {Maternity}

Can I just start by saying I LOVE maternity sessions!! There’s just something so sweet, intimate, and powerful about capturing a gorgeous, expecting mother. You can feel the unconditional love just pouring out of every image created. It was an absolute joy photographing Ashley and her precious family. Max was such a ham! He’s going to make an amazing big brother!

Baby Neal should be gracing us with his OR her presence very soon! Mom and Dad have chosen to wait until baby #2 is born to know the gender! (I don’t know how people wait…I’d give in to the desire to know! haha!) How much more exciting does that make the whole day!? A brand new baby and you finally find out if it’s a boy or girl!  We all can’t wait to meet you little Baby Neal!

Mother Daughter Princesses

How much fun is it to put on a gorgeous gown and feel like an Indian princess? This mother daughter shoot was so beautiful! This was my first time having the honor of photographing such detailed, cherished, Indian gowns that traveled many miles to be worn here in America. I could have spent all day just capturing every little tiny part of both of these gowns. Just imagine how much work went into making them just perfect. It blows me away! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did and still do!

Arabella {two years old}

This summer I met the sweetest little two year old! Arabella was a dream to photograph! It’s common knowledge that two years aren’t quite the easiest to get to corporate during a photo shoot. Not Miss Arabella! She was camera ready and even gave me quite a few nice posed shots! Her big blue eyes and photogenic smile is proof she could be model material. She will definitely be making a few more appearances on my blog in the near future. You’ll have to keep following me to find out what is in store!

Newborn Emma

Words just cannot express how much I love this family you are about to see below. I’ve known this sweet mother, Kelly, since she was just a young 18 year old. To see how much she’s grown into a beautiful, amazing mother of two little girls makes my heart happy!

I’ve been photographing Kelly and Justin for a few years now, starting with their first maternity session when pregnant with older sister Kaelyn. I am beyond thankful that they have continued to have me photograph their family as they have grown. They are honestly just like family to me now!
